WHAT IS EDUTOOLS?

Edutools is an inter-university educational research group established at the University of León (Spain). The aim of Edutools is to develop research work aimed at educational improvement and innovation in the following areas or lines of study:

  1. Information and Communication Technologies and digital competences.
  2. Multiple intelligences, emotional intelligence and personal wellbeing.
  3. Innovation in educational methodologies.
  4. Management and development of professional competences.

Edutools is made up of professionals with different profiles, linked to the field of education (formal, non-formal and informal), which gives our work an enriching interdisciplinary approach.

RESEARCH

The research work carried out by Edutools is primarily related to four lines of work:

Information and Communication Technologies and digital competences

Educational possibilities of ICT, new teaching methodologies; e-learning, b-learning, m-learning, personal learning environments (PLE), massive open online courses (MOOCs), social networks, educational materials, objects and resources for teaching, educational robotics and the application of ICT to achieve educational equity.

Educational innovation

Implementation of active learning and teaching methodologies, teacher training and development of motivational strategies and development of self-regulated learning.

Emotional intelligence and personal well-being

Multiple intelligences, development of socio-emotional competences, guidance and training in competences for professional insertion and development, coaching strategies and neuro-linguistic programming applied to education, educational responses to functional diversity and special educational needs.

Management and development of professional competences

Educational management, educational inclusion, educational intervention in informal and non-formal educational contexts, knowledge management and development of professional competences.
